Welcome to the Okarito Photo Gallery
This section of the site is intended to share with you the
beauty of Okarito. The first contributions are by Brian Harmer, author of the
WYSIWYG Newsletter which is read around the world, and David Alexander, a well
known photojournalist with the Christchurch Press who has been visiting Okarito
for over 20 years (Read "A personal view" by David Alexander). We will be
adding photographs regularly as the site grows and we welcome submissions of

...after stalking
this Kotuku for hours in Okarito after hearing he was picking off Silver eyes, I
got some pictures of it catching a chaffinch, so here are three (one rather
abstract) photos of Heronimo as this bird was called
locally
